  1. How do I place an order online?

    The first step is verifying your gift card. Click on redeem my card and enter the card information in the boxes provided. From then on, you will see how much credit is left on your card as you browse the site and add items to your cart. For your convenience, we offer products at even dollar amounts. That way, you can easily take full advantage of your gift card. When you are finished shopping, click on “check out.” You will be asked to enter your shipping address. You will only be asked for your billing information if you decide to purchase additional items after you use up your gift card. Click on submit, and we will immediately begin processing your order.

  2. How can I track my Order?

    For your convenience, you can view your tracking number(s) at any time. Simply log on to www.AmericanIdolGifts.com and click on “My Account.” From here you will see a summary of all orders you have placed. When you click on an order, you will find the details of the order, including the tracking number and any notes from us.

  3. Why is my item on back order?

    Products that we do not have in stock go on back order. We still offer these items on our website, but we will not be able to ship them right away. If you add a quantity of one product to your cart that is greater than the quantity we have on hand, the item will go on back order. We wait until we have everything on your order to ship it to you, so we don’t have to charge you more than once for shipping.

  4. What methods of payment do you accept?

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Sorry, we cannot accept checks or money orders at this time.

  5. Why is the site asking for my credit card?

    Even though we are asking for your credit card, your gift card is working. You cannot place an order without an active gift card. We only ask for a credit card if you are purchasing items in addition to what the card covers. If you do not want to use your credit card to purchase more, make sure you pay for shipping with funds from the gift card, and remove items from your cart until your balance is $0.

  6. Will you charge sales tax on my order?

    American Idol Gifts is obligated to collect taxes in the States of California and Texas only. If your order is being shipped to a state other than California or Texas, we will not collect any taxes. If your order is being shipped to California or Texas, we will pay the taxes for you.

  7. Can I place an order using only part of my card, and use the rest later?

    Of course! However, we recommend that you use the whole card at once. Otherwise, you will have to pay for shipping for each order. The increase in shipping charges for larger orders is minimal compared to shipping two separate orders.

  8. Can I make purchases directly from the site without a gift card?

    You must use a gift card to place an order. However, you can continue to add items to your cart after you use a gift card, but before you check out. The price of the additional items will be charged to your credit card, but will ship together on one order with the items purchased with the gift card.

  9. How do I determine the shipping charges on my order?

    American Idol Gifts gives you several options for shipping – Standard, 2-day, and 1-day. Our shipping charges change with the dollar amount of your order, not the weight. See our Shipping Policy for rates and delivery times.

    Unfortunately, we cannot ship to any international addresses at this time.

  11. How long will it take before I receive my order?

    Orders received before 12:00PM Pacific Standard Time on business days will be processed that day. If all products on the order are in stock, it will ship the day after it is processed. See our Shipping Policy for estimated times of delivery.

  13. Can I return or exchange my purchase?

    American Idol Gifts gladly accepts returns and exchanges within 90 days of the order date, however some restrictions do apply. You must pay the shipping on most returns. Please see our Return Policy for more details.

  14. Can I use part of my card and be refunded for the rest?

    We cannot issue refunds for balance left on a card. We offer a variety of products at prices that will help you use the entire card. Try browsing price point categories on our site to find the right product for you to use the whole card.

  15. Can I return an unused gift card?

    Gift cards in general are non-refundable. You can, however, return an unused American Idol gift card purchased online. See our Return Policy for details on requesting a return. We will issue a credit to the card you used to purchase the gift card. It is up to the store to determine whether they will refund an unused card purchased at a retail location.

  16. How can I purchase gift cards?

    American Idol gift cards are available in several retail chains throughout the country, and for purchase online. Use our Store Locator to find the store nearest you, or simply Purchase a gift card from our site.

  17. How much does an American Idol gift card cost?

    We currently offer gift cards for $25 and $50. You can purchase more items with your credit card by adding them to your cart before you check out. You may also purchase gift cards for different amounts online.

  18. Can I purchase additional products after I have used up my card?

    Yes, you may purchase additional items for the prices listed on our site using your credit card. You may also pay for shipping with a credit card and apply all the funds from the gift card to products on our site.

  19. Is my card active?

    Cards must be activated by a cashier before leaving a store. If you get an error message when you try to redeem a card, bring the card back to the store where it was purchased with a receipt and the cashier can activate it. For cards purchased online, or to check on the status of a card that is not working, Contact Us. Select “Check Card Status” in the drop down menu, and be sure to include the card number in the message.

  20. How do I activate my card?

    Your card should be activated by the cashier who sold the card. All cards ordered online are active when we mail them. Bring the card and the receipt back to the store where the card was purchased if the cashier did not activate the card. You can Contact Us. if your card is not working. Select “Check Card Status” in the drop down menu, and be sure to include the card number in the message.

  21. Can I order products from the American Idol store with my gift card?

    Unfortunately, you cannot. We are a separate entity. We are, however, always open to your suggestions for additional products. If you would like to see a product on our site, please Contact Us, and let us know.
